Questions patients ask us
Who can benefit from women’s health physiotherapy?
Women experiencing pregnancy-related discomfort, postnatal weakness, pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary leakage, pelvic pain, abdominal weakness, or menopause-related physical changes may benefit after appropriate assessment.
What happens during the first women’s health physiotherapy assessment?
The physiotherapist reviews symptoms, medical and obstetric history, movement, posture, strength, daily activities, and pelvic floor function where relevant. Any intimate examination should only be performed when clinically appropriate and with informed consent.
